It's Like 5 Filters In One Cartridge!
PURIFICATION: This 1-micron purification system is incredibly powerful (1 micron is 100 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair). It is independently certified for 1,200 gallons of use for chlorine, lead, cysts, bad taste and odor reduction. Specifically, it is a 1 micron, block, granular activated carbon filter with lead reduction media. That's like drinking 240 of those big 5-Gallon bottles.
This filter has been tested to NSF performance Standard 42 and Standard 53.
Our filters undergo rigorous testing and independent verification for performance. Each filter is rated at .5 gpm with a maximum pressure of 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 100º F. Class 1 filtration media. All filters should be installed on cold water lines only.
NOTE: Activated carbon filters are not intended to be used where the water is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection .

This purification system is independently CERTIFIED to REMOVE the things most people are concerned about in their tap water: Chlorine and other harmful chemicals, Lead, Bad Taste and Odor. However, this COMMERCIAL-GRADE purification system LEAVES the beneficial MINERALS in your purified water. Minerals are what give water its FLAVOR. So, choose micron filtration if you'd like to keep the minerals in your water.

Upgrade To The Dual Filtration For $50 More
There are parts of the Country that have public water supplies that require a little more purification. This is not the majority of municipal supplies, but if you see "particulate" in your water occasionally, you may want to upgrade to the dual system. The first filter cartridge is a sediment filter that removes things from your water larger than 20 microns.
This first filter's job is only to help enhance the life of the "main" filter. The second filter is what removes the lead, bad taste, odor, chlorine and cysts.
Replacements for both cartridges is: Only $69.95.

This chart illustrates that XO Water is as pure as the water that you've been drinking in bottles. While chemicals are not in either your bottled water nor in XO Water, there are still desirable minerals in your water. Minerals are actually good for you, give water it’s flavor and aren't considered “contaminants”. That's why we say that with XO water, you'll pure, delicious water!

Reverse Osmosis: Our Other Purification
XO Water offers two types of water purification. Reverse osmosis is used when our customers want to remove about 85% of the minerals from their water in addition to the things removed by our Micron Purification.
OK – ready for an explanation on reverse osmosis? No problem. Hang in there with us - and you’ll see how simple it is.
The XO Water reverse osmosis purification technology removes nearly everything from your water. Basically, you’re left with just H2O. This is the same process used to turn ocean water into drinking water!
WE’RE TALKING SMALL
With reverse osmosis technology, water is pressure-forced through microscopic pores in a thin membrane. How small, you ask? Well, imagine taking a hair from your head (unless you’re bald like the XO Water president – he needs every one he has). Look down at the end. These “pores” are 200,000 times SMALLER than the diameter of that human hair!
ALREADY DRINKING REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER?
Reverse Osmosis is the process used by many brands of bottled water such as AquaFina™ and Dasani™. Check out the labels!
Your water passes through a 4-stage reverse osmosis purification system before it gets to your glass. The first stage removes particles 20 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair. The second stage enhances the flavor and purity by removing chlorine, lead and potentially harmful chemicals that produce bad taste and odor. The third stage removes about 90% of all minerals in your water. In this stage, water is pressure-forced through the pores in the membrane. The fourth stage further purifies the water to give it a clean, crisp taste.

Basically, all you’re left with is pure, delicious water. This additional step requires an additional fee. Our other purification technology is our Micron Filtration. If you already have tap water that is low in minerals, you may want to skip the reverse osmosis step because you'd be removing minerals that aren't even present.
